Studying for examinations is about understanding the basics of the subject, and learn the techniques to answer the examination questions. Nothing can be learnt without a good basics. I usually start by learning about the students' background during the first few classes and preparing some basic assignments for the students to answer. Noted that this apply on mathematis and additional mathematics subjects as those are the subjects I preferred.
