Teacher Connie taught me Mandarin for 7 months. I had no prior experience in reading or writing in Mandarin except for when I was in kindergarten. Her coaching style is commendable and easy for beginners like me to catch on. I requested to have reading and writing syllabus and that was what I get exactly, and I was really glad to have her guiding and coaching me as I can see vast improvements in myself even with the brief stint I had in learning Mandarin from Teacher Connie.
I like that she'll read and explain the texts thoroughly, and explain the meaning of the characters I don't understand as well as give sentence examples, which I find really useful. I can also stop her anytime to ask questions and she's very patient with me, so it makes learning easier.

Ms Lai has been teaching my daughter (currently in Standard 5) and son (currently in Standard 2) on Mandarin SJKC subject for more than 2 years. Ms Lai is an experienced and diligent tutor. She has been teaching both of my children Mandarin (one is SJKC Standard 5 and another is SJKC Standard 2) for more than 2 years.
