I have 11 years of valuable teaching experience in CBSE, IGCSE, IB, local Malaysian schools and Singapore curriculum. I also have experience in taking language classes like Malay, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi and English.

I have always wanted to be come a teacher, I then started working in kumon while I was still in school, after that I started my foundation in TESL ( teaching English as a second language) and I’m currently in my final year and final semester of my degree in bachelor in education majoring in TESL. I only want the best for my students, I’m willing to give my all to make sure my students gain the knowledge they need in school and out of school.

I plan my lessons according to my students interest. I will make sure my students enjoy learning and not feel forced to learn. I will only move on from one chapter to another once I know my student have understand the chapter completely by heart.

I have been teaching pupils since I was in 11th standard. I love to find out the difficulties of students and correct them so that they are self dependent on their long run. I believe teaching is a art like painting where a student's mind is the canvass and my teaching is the brush. I feel it is my duty to paint the correct picture in student's mind. I have successfully taught several students to attain high marks when earlier they were not successful. I was involved in the training department of my previous company where I used to train professionals to perform better. Presently I am a freelance English writer and I write for The Star newspaper and AirAsia Travel360 magazine, so I can help students enhance their creative writing skills in English.

Tutoring Approach

I always try to divide lessons in small parts and upon completion I try to interact with my students on their understanding. I often ask quick and basic questions on what I taught. The answers help me to understand the level of understanding of the students. It is obvious that some students learn fast than others. But a teacher should understand first the reason behind a student's slow understanding. If the student is unmindful then the teacher needs to teach him/her first how to concentrate. If the student is forgetful, then teacher's duty is to suggest him/her techniques to remember. Every lock has got different keys. It is a teacher's responsibility to find the correct key and unlock the student's mind.
