In the first class, I’ll analyze student’s performance through past year exam papers and a bit of exercises. Then, depends on the students, I’ll find books that suit with student’s needs. I’ll at least try to finish the syllabus 2 months before the date of final exam so I’ll use the rest of 2 months to recap and drill on necessary topics.

I would encourage the student to prepare their own notes with my guidance since I would not spoon feed them by giving prepared notes by me because student would learn nothing if we give them everything. I believed in a lot of practices in answering question because by doing that the student will be familiar with the question pattern and it would be easy for them in the future. Back then when I was in degree studies, I was doing my part time as tutor at tuition centre. Meanwhile at weekend, I do home tuition based on parents requirement. Then I realized, different student need different approach and technique, even the same sub topic, not all student can understand by only one method of teaching.
I won't teach at first. I prefer the ice breaking session and student briefly explain what is the main problem within the subject. Then, deeply find the solution according the suitable method uniquely. Cause different approach will result in different outcome. My best technique is parody song. I change the original lyric into subject-related words.
