UCL LLB (First Class Honours)

I have tutored throughout my academic years. General tuition in high school for O'Level Exams. I Was a paid tutor during my college years where I taught various students Economics and Chemistry. I was able to secure a Top Performer Award during my college years. During my time at UCL, I was a personal mentor for the following subjects: Commercial, Employment, Tort, European Union, and Jurisprudence. I was commended for my written performance in the commercial and employment law exams.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to refine the approach to learning and preparation. My goal is not to ensure students just undergo rote memorisation in order to pass exams but to promote self-sufficiency when it comes to learning and exam preparation. This involves teaching them to streamline subjects and learning, to selectively prepare exam topics, to understand how further reading should be incorporated into an essay/exam and other practical tips I have picked up during my academic years. I bring also with me UCL/LSE law notes and tutorial questions. This is an invaluable resource which only students/graduates have access to. I should reiterate that my goal is not to teach from the ground up, I expect the student to at the very least have a basic understanding of the topic being touched, my goal is to refine and hone their skills so that they can move up a grade boundary, for example from a Second Upper (2.1) to a First Class (1.0). I will help them understand how to structure, draft and write in a proficient and exemplary manner for both exams and essays. The student should have course materials on hand and preferably test questions to engage with, having questions to discuss is the easiest way to measure progress and understand for a student.
