I was looking for a private tutor in English to improve my writing and communication skills at the workplace. Initially, when Puah Sharifah had offered to conduct classes through Skype, I was slightly skeptical about how feasible online classes would be. I decided to give it a try and realised that it was a convenient arrangement for me as: 1. I have a toddler to raise at home and I am a working mother. Weekend classes, sometimes as late as 10PM, were perfect for me (especially after my daughter had gone to sleep) 2. I do not need to go through traffic congestion to reach a tutoring centre 3. The tuition fee is very affordable Puan Sharifah is a dedicated teacher and sincerely guided me towards my personal goal in English. She has given me many tips to improve my reading, listening, speaking and writing skills. After 2 months of classes, I feel much more confident when conversing with my boss, colleagues, friends and even strangers.

1. Firstly before I start my lesson, I will ask the students what the weakness in the subject. After that, I will give the student some TEST to identify what I can help in the subject especially Math and Add Maths. I will construct the plan learning and timetable with topics that I must to teach with the student especially the slow learner student.  2. I will give some notes and also exercise that similar to the past year question that student familiar the way to score the subject. 3. After finish the syllabus, I will give some quiz or Post-Test to make sure student can achieve the passing grade of examination. Lastly, the student will recheck their correction and alert the techniques to score of the topics. Previously, this method is a success because some of my students can score the subject especially Mathematics because I start from the easy topic too difficult topics and from the higher mark to lower mark.

First of all, I would ask the students which parts of the subjects that they are really weak at. Then I would ask them if they have any questions regarding those parts. If not, I would teach them the whole parts and finally give them tutorials and exercises to test their understandings. If their understandings are still not satisfying, I would teach them again and give more tutorials. In addition, I can help them with their homeworks too.
