My approach to tutoring is that I tailor my tuition to the needs of the student. I will tutor in my own home or that of the student. I will vary my style depending on the ability and needs of the student. I aim to run my tuition in support of the progression of my students through their subject syllabus, but I am also willing to progress more slowly and focus on particularly weak areas if the student so desires. I will also offer pre-exam revision sessions for all exams including modular resits and conduct end of topic tests and mock exams should the student desire.

1. I will give lots of exercise for the students.

2. I usually gives pop quiz in the middle of the session to refresh back the student's memories.

3. For mathematics, I have my own formula techniques for the students to understand better.

4. For English and Bahasa Melayu, I would ask the students to get one story book each week, read and list words that they don't understand and find the meaning to understand more.

I graduated from University of Toyama (Japan) in Material Science Engineering and studied the Japanese language for 6 years. I am working as Language Advisor (Japanese), dealing with customers from there, hence I have no problem at all to be teaching from basic Japanese to business skill level. I have experience teaching one of students who in form 3, and had trouble with Mathematics. She always scored "D" for her Maths, until I taught her for 2 months, she managed to pass her PMR with grade "A".

Tutoring Approach

During lesson, I will use "short-cut" to remember or understand easier, and I believe UNDERSTAND is the most important factor in order for you to score one subject. Lesson could be boring, hence I will spice up my teaching method by listening to audio(eg. for Japanese; anime etc), and not only depending to lecture 100%.

I am a fresh graduate with some experience in teaching. I have been tutor for several agencies for UPSR and pt3 students. I love to provide students with my own notes that are very useful and easier to memorise. During university, my notes had been using and copied by majority of my friends, and I also always help them in memorising subject that difficult such as History.

During the first class, I will give some question to know the level of the students. The next class I will start to teach the students and I will make sure after I had finished teaching, I'll give some exercise for him to know if he understands. For the next class, before beginning the class, I will recall what had we learn the last class. I also try not to just teaching as it will make the students boring, so I'll play some games regarding the topic to make the students motivated to learn. And I will focus on the topic that he lacks.

I encourage students to bring their homework to me. Based on my experience, completing homework is the best form of teaching. This is also to minimize dispute in the teaching, and I believe the teacher given homework are the best form of practice.
