I was an assistant for a tuition centre before. While the teacher is teaching, I had to walk around to guide the students who did not understand or who were slow in learning. I guided them patiently so that they were able to follow. Besides, for students who were not a fast learner, I did use some special ways to attract their attention so that they could remember what I said. I was using funny stories, examples and so on to elaborate and explain as this could enhance their understanding.
