Experience:I have a Master degree in Electrical Power Engineering from Germany. I have experience in face-to-face lessons (solo / small groups) in various Engineering subjects. Math and Physics are closely related to my major. I was a tutor in math during my university degree. And since I graduated just quite recently, I know how it feels to be a student and what to be expected from a tutor. To me, learning process is about understanding and not about results.
Approach:I try my best to organize my lessons in pieces and sections. Usually I start and end by testing the current level of understanding. Explanations or demonstrations would be done according to what I think appropriate to the topic, I hardly read from text book. And to be honest, my teaching style is better suited for those who already have a basic in what they learn and want to get better. From my experience, the more a student knows about the topic the better he or she can get from me.
