Ropheka Xavier: Your Educational Guide

Introduction:

Hi there! My name is Ropheka, but my students call me Miss Ro. I started tutoring English at the age of 16 and found my passion in creating fun and interesting lessons. It made me happy to see my students find understanding and confidence in the English language.

I have traveled and lived around the world. I was born in the Southeast Asian country, Malaysia. I took many trips with my parents to India as a child. When I was 12, we moved to Hanoi, Vietnam and when I was 15, we moved to Czech Republic. Traveling broadened my perspective and my perspective on people and international cultures influences my approach to teaching. To me, English is a language that connects people from different backgrounds.

Besides teaching English, I enjoy filling my time with music, movies, baking and photography.

During our introduction session, we will discuss your goals and how I can assist you in achieving them. I specialize in grammar (punctuation and sentence construction), reading and comprehension, pronunciation and vocabulary, and conversational English. I aim to create a safe space for my students to feel comfortable and build confidence in practicing and learning English. I believe that when the student is at a level of comfortability and confidence, they are open to learn and absorb the study material much more easily. This gives them the boost they need to reach their own personal goals to excel in English.
