Qualification:

Bachelor's Degree in Commerce Accounting, SPM (8A's 1B), PMR (7A's), UPSR (5A's)

Experience:

Im currently an Audit Associate with an accounting degree, however i have a passion for tutoring students to be a better version of themselves. On a side note, i would like to share my experience. In Form 4, used to get low grades/fail my Chemistry exams. However, in Form 5, i changed the way i studied and i went to being the Top 2 in my class, and i achieved an A+ in my SPM. What im trying to prove is that its possible to ace a subject with the right way of studying and the right materials.

Approach:

My approach would be rather different, and would positively impact students as the age gap between me and students is small. What i want to create is an environment whereby students would see me as a friend rather than a tutor. This helps students to learn things fast and they wouldn't be afraid to ask questions regarding the lessons taught. One of the main reasons why students cant do well in exams is because, they are afraid to ask questions as they assume their classmates or the teacher might laugh at them. I know, because i was a student too. So this would help to foster the growth of the student. My technique would be summarized as follows: 1. Q&A session with student Purpose: This serves as an ice-breaker to develop a friend-friend relationship. This session would normally involve questions about themselves, their grades and what do they want to achieve, as well as what they hate/like about the subject. 2. Briefly going through the school syllabus with them to identify which topics they are weak at. Purpose: The main reason is because like in most subject, many chapters are inter-connected. Therefore having weak basics in one chapter, could affect the learning ability of the student in another chapter. 3. Teaching + quizzes + harder questions (SPM standard) Purpose: I would tutor them on chapters that they had problems in before i proceed to be ahead of chapter currently taught to the student in school. This is crucial as the basics are important. The quizzes then serve as a ruler to measure how much they understand about the chapter. Once they can already understand each chapter individually, then SPM clone questions could be given to them to test their overall knowledge. In conclusion, pressure is not something that i would want to place on any student. The learning could be made fun with videos, jokes and other visual aids. I want to create a fun learning experience which would make them love the subject, and this would translate into a better grade and a better individual overall. The satisfaction i get when i see a student able to understand and solve a problem he/she once couldn't is priceless
