Qualification:BA (Hons) Contemporary Music
Experience:Teaching has been part of my career since my music studies in my university years. As a Music Degree graduate in contemporary music as well as a Grade 8 holder in Classical music, I've been teaching many students of different ages (from children to senior citizen) and with different learning needs ranging from classical piano/theory to contemporary keyboard & piano. Also, with experiences serving in the church music team, I am well equipped to guide church musicians in their learning process.
Approach:My expertise includes classical/contemporary piano, keyboard, acoustic guitar, ukulele, music theory, music arranging & composition, music recording & notation software. I also provide a home-based recording service should you require any. Lessons are usually held once a week, 4 times a month. I like to keep my options open when it comes to materials and teaching methods as it is more important to suit the needs of the student rather than pushing methods that some students might find uninteresting and demotivating. Contemporary piano/keyboard/guitar/ukulele is one of the most enjoyed lessons for many students as they could play songs they really enjoy listening to. On the other hand, music theory is also incorporated within the lesson so there is a better understanding on what students are learning. For those who are looking into exams and improving their music studies, I will also be able to provide adequate guidance.
