| Approach | Approach: I am very particular in teaching grammar because I believe that grammar is the foundation of the structure of a language. I will make sure that my students are equipped with adequate grammar skills in order to produce excellent writings. Also, I am very passionate in teaching reading and literature. I disagree with the idea of reading and learning literature just for the sake of answering the exam. I love to instill the love and and the passion of students towards English stories, poems, novels and movies so that they can get a deeper and stronger understanding towards them. I love talking to students about the characters and stories, and connecting them to real life situations and humanity. In terms of writing, I never ever let my students memorize any model essays because that wouldn't be authentic and learning would be meaningless. I love triggering students' creative and critical thinking by engaging them in all kinds of conversations related to the context. I believe that allowing students' minds to flow freely and thinking out of the box would help much more that reading and memorizing model essays. |
