Overview

The International School of Kuantan, using English as the medium of instruction, prepares students for admission to university. Our school has three science labs, two computer labs, music room, art room, library, counseling room, sick bay, cafeteria, convenience store, multi-purpose hall, outdoor sports area and 3-tier security system. The curriculum for the Elementary School (grade 1-5) includes language arts, math, science, social studies, physical education, IT and music. The core curriculum for the Middle School (grade 6-8) includes foreign language, language arts, mathematics, science and social studies. The elective and exploratory programs offers a variety of arts, physical education and information technology classes. The High School (grade 9-12) offers a university preparatory core curriculum including foreign language, language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. The core curriculum is enhanced by required and elective courses in arts, Physical education and Information Technology. The school offers a variety of a extra-curricular programs depending on the student interests. There is an active student council that organizes school activities. The most recent activities include sports, pottery classes, screening of movies, preparations for the annual school drama presentation and Japanese language classes. Efforts are now under way to become an affiliate member of the Malaysian High School Sports Group.
