Chris Lam: Your Dedicated Tutoring Resource

I have been playing guitar for 10 years, and performing for events and weddings for about 5 years. I am more focused on the practicality of music learning and making it relatable to my students. Learning doesn't have to be a bland or a classroom environment, it can happen just by having a conversation.

My approach for my teaching in music would always start with IDENTIFY, RELATING, & SHARING. 1. Identify. I always identify the background/interest/motive for a student. Mostly about their hobby and dreams or their goals in life, even as simple as why do enjoy doing everyday. From there, I would analyze the character & personality to fit and understand the candidate. 2. Relating. I would befriend the students, by offering teaching materials that can relate to them and making it interesting. Being a buddy to my student, that there will be no tension at all. 3. Sharing. This is where I would teach from the beginning and basics of the Guitar instrument, to relating it with their personal interest. Journey with them along the way, until they master the instrument. Which I would guaranteed in maximum three months time.
