Yew Loong

PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION OF TEACHER Anne Duerre. Mrs Anne Duerre has been tutoring my son Yew Loong Ding since July 2023 till date. She has been a part of his journey leading up to his A levels exams which he is currently undergoing. Mrs Anne has been teaching Yew Loong subjects of English Literature and History and she is very meticulous and plans all the lessons well and with utmost care. She has also successfully demonstrated her awareness of different learning styles and adequately adjusted assignments to meet the needs of Yew Loong. Mrs Anne has vast experience in teaching humanities subjects for which she researches online for extra materials and support in order to provide the best learning experience for Yew Loong and she is very passionate about what she does. During the sessions that Yew Loong has with her, she would assign Yew Loong tasks pertaining to English Literature and History which requires him to write based on stipulated exams conditions. That has proven to be helpful in Yew Loong’s preparation for the final A levels. Mrs Anne possesses a calm, serene, enthusiastic and a very motherly personality and has a great rapport with Yew Loong. She also supports him when he is stressed and has a writer’s block . She would often advise him on sound time management when he's assigned a task. She would update me on Yew Loong’s progress frequently to let me know how he is coping with the teaching and learning process and that is very helpful indeed. Mrs Anne has been able to nurture Yew Loong's growth and potential as a student. He has grown tremendously in his writing abilities and skills as well as temperament, the onset he would be easily flustered under pressure of exams however with Mrs Anne's teaching and tutoring methods he has become more self assured in his writing and writes efficiently. I am very pleased with how Mrs Anne has greatly helped Yew Loong reach his potential and I am confident that she will constantly deliver the best to any given student or group of students.
