I can create notes and examples of real life in my career into the teachings to enhance understanding towards the subjects related to management are my main focus. I also assisted students in assignments, between the education level from Diploma to Master. Although I only graduate in Bachelor (Hons) in Business Management, I was being seek assistance by the students due to urgency in their assignments. I was being asked on assisting a student who is taking Master in Education before.

Experience

I used to teach in a private institution for 6 1/2 years in management field. I do part time job too as a private tutor to a small group of students of 4-5 daily. I focus on teaching Science and Mathematics in English for students who are preparing for UPSR (Primary 1-6). The teaching style varies depending on one individual and also the subject chosen. I usually ask my students to come out with a mind-map after each lesson for a better way to understand each topic taught. My way of teaching does not rely on memorising but I would prefer students to understand and use the concept of application (especially in Science subject) while for Mathematics, tutorials will be given after each explanation to make sure students are able to apply the right way/method of calculation. I would also include innovative way of teaching at which videos on related subject matters will be previewed during the tutor lesson for in-dept study. 

Tutoring Approach

Teaching and Learning Approach: Private Tutoring (30 minutes - 1 hour). Tutorial (30 minutes - 1 hour). Lesson Preview will be conducted at every beginning of the class. Printed out notes and tutorials will be given to each student at every beginning of a new chapter. I have two progressive tests will be conducted in a year to test the student's understanding.

Although I have yet to gain any form of formal teaching experience, I have been acting the role as a tutor to my peers since secondary level all the way to tertiary level. This passion persists until today. Moreover, I am still equipping myself with abundant knowledge by taking up Corporate Master of Business Administration. Hence, I am confident with my ability to teach students at tertiary level as well.

Tutoring Approach

To be frank, I dislike conventional approach of learning, which is to memorize the contents. Although it may be effective to obtain a good grade, it certainly does not help in applying the knowledge appropriately. Therefore, I focus on true understanding by simplifying the contents. As a good way to clarifying the contents further, I would find ways to link tiny bits of sub-contents together and form a complete picture.
