I have no teaching experience outside work. I currently mentor three junior engineers in my workplace and my style of teaching is to ask the student what they want to learn. Then I provide some guidance and stay with the student to solve the problem together.

Tutoring Approach

The student plan my lessons and I will teach the student wants to know. Otherwise, I will go from very very basic to basic, then from basic to slightly advanced.

Although I am a fresher in teaching, my understanding on student allows me to know every student is unique. I will be to follow the pace of the every students to allow maximum learning during tuition period, to enhance their understanding and enable them to progress. I am a Degree holder in architecture and Master holder in landscape architecture. I believe that, I have the capability to teach/share my knowledge and experience in general subjects as well as in design field.

I have been teaching as a lecturer for almost 5 years, both in private institutions as well as government university. My strengths would be in software subjects, as I have been teaching AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Enscape and Illustrator. Due to my focus in software, I’ve also developed my own module in order to give better understanding about the software to my students.

Tutoring Approach

I would be approaching the students by knowing their capabilities before the class started. By doing so, I would be able to have a better understanding on their capabilities and adjusting my approach accordingly. The students will also received extra materials on lesson that I have developed prior during my teaching years.
