Then, I have been awarded a full scholarship to further my studies in Master in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Southampton, United Kingdom. I have been involved in the tutoring industries since after I finished SPM and during my studies in the UK.

Tutoring Approach

Firstly, I'm very friendly with my students because I want them to feel I am their friend not a teacher to them. By doing that, they will tell me the truth especially when they did not understand some parts of the learning. They did not afraid to ask me although for them it was a silly question. My goal is to help my students as possible as I could. Then, I have my own modules for pure science subjects (physics, chemistry, add. maths and biology) that help students to improve their understanding and the methods that need to use in exam so that they can get full marks. By only understand but do not know to answer the questions is not enough to get A+. Remember that. The learning pace is based on my students, not me. My priority is the quality of learning, not the quantity of learning.

For mathematics, I would usually cover more on past year papers and lots of exercises. For Science subjects, visuals would help more on understanding apart from continuous exercises. I can easily bond with the students and I am very friendly in nature. I may be a bit strict when teaching students below 13 years old but based on experience most parents find it helpful for their kids to improve on their grades. In 2015 I have 6 PT3 students (all one-to-one classes) and their results for MATHS were 4 students got A, 1 student B and one student C.

Hi, my name is Haziq. I am a student from University of Malaya. Here is the description about myself. I have two years of teaching experience as a "young tutor" when I was in form 4 & 5. I was assigned as a tutor in a group of 4 to 5 students that did not score well in the examination. The method that I used in teaching is to teach the theories first, then give them some exercises and discuss to enhance their understanding. At the same time, I also taught my students the techniques to answer examination questions. The subjects that I taught were Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. The improvement that my students made was they got the results with flying colours. On the other hand, when I was in secondary school, I hold position as Vice-Treasurer of High Committee of School Prefect. Also, I had been involved in Tuition Programme 2014 in Cheras, which is organized by Biro Hal Ehwal Bandar dan Perumahan. At university level, I won second place and third place in Technical Essay Writing Competition and Technical Power Point Presentation respectively, under Internal Technical Challenge that is organised by Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Club.
