I am currently a freelance tutor for adults, preschool students, primary school students and international school students.I have about 8 years experience in teaching. I am a passionate person in teaching. It's great to share my Mandarin knowledge with everyone who want to learn this wonderful language. I also get the advance level in the IPA exam (International Profession Certification Association - Senior Chinese Language Teacher) which enable me to teach in pronunciation (Han Yu Pin Yin in Mandarin), writing, reading and speaking (conversation). My fee is RM60-80/hour (negotiable and depends on the location). Those interested are welcome to contact me for information.

Tutoring Approach

My aim as a tutor is to create in my students a deep understanding and confidence in speaking Mandarin. My philosophy is based on the idea that learning happens in an environment of mutual respect in which the student is encouraged to think and make new connections for themselves. I prefer one-to-one personal tuition so that the student can be focused. My approach varies depending on the student’s needs and learning style. However my teaching philosophy is based on encouraging students to think for themselves. I start from topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas as their confidence builds. I use questions and examples to check understanding continually.
