Approach:For my lessons, I adopt the 'straightforward method', meaning I use Japanese to teach Japanese. My private lessons and online lessons' students were able to learn Japanese pronunciation and conversation skills effectively because they listen to (and try to speak) genuine accurate Japanese all the time. While I could translate or explain in Chinese or English, I insist that my students speak, listen, write, read in full Japanese. I go through 90% of the beginner level and 100% of the intermediate and advance level in Japanese. I use picture cards, flash cards, CDs or DVDs to aid my teaching so that I can break away from conventional textbook-based learning routine.
