I have been teaching accounting from basic to advanced level for the past 9 years involving various groups of students from high school to university students. I am ACCA-qualified with a Master's in accounting from IIUM/ UIAM.

I always ensure students understand the concept with a step-by-step approach in order to obtain the answer. Also, students are always welcome to ask and clarify their lessons in a friendly and approachable manner.

I am a graduate from The University of Queensland, Australia in Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance). I am also an ex-student of Maahad Tahfiz, which enables me to teach quran recitation. I have passion for teaching and would like to help any students needing help with their studies. I have a decent experience teaching at primary school as a substitute teacher and also as an english teacher at a tuition centre.

Tutoring Approach

I take an approach of peer-to-peer teaching style, not really as a qualified teacher. So I expect to be teaching the students as a friend and I enjoy having two-way conversation with the students. My teaching technique is I would give explanation to the student to understand the topic first, then proceed with exercises. However, I am open to any teaching styles that are preferred by the student if they have their own preference. I will be available for teaching starting end of March 2018.

My style of teaching is by explaining each sub-topics and test the students by letting them to try questions based on the topic discussed. This way, I can clearly know if the student understand what I have taught. I will ensure that the student are very clear before I end my sessions.

I teach topics based on the topics being taught in school. This is to ensure the students can clearly understand the topic. For E.g, if the student is confused with a particular topic taught at school, he/she can clarify that with me since I will be teaching the same topic at home/online. It will increase the interest in the subject and will motivate the students to practice more. I normally simplify the methods for better understanding, especially for maths. Most times, students tend to memorize instead of understanding the fundamental concepts or theories... Hence, my approach would be tomake them understand the theory or the science behind the subject matters. From my experience, once they have understood, they do not need weekly or tuition classes for an extended period. Instead, they would enjoy the subject that they are learning and will be able to study independently and score well without a tutor.
