Experience:

I am a certified IELTS and TESOL instructor with a Bachelors degree in Law (LLB. Hons). For almost 20 years, I have taught students ranging from elementary school to foundation year university students to working adults. I spent 10 years teaching ESL at King Abdulaziz University, where I also taught EAP and ESP. I also teach preparation courses for IELTS and IGCSE, with a success rate of increasing my learners' level by at least half an IELTS band score (or, for example, B1 to B2, CEFR).

Approach:

My approach is always learner-centered. I will conduct a needs analysis for my students by way of a simple placement test to determine their CEFR level. From there, I will tailor my lessons to the individual needs of the learner, combining teacher-led and student-led interaction. Learners will be assessed in an integrated manner, with individual feedback and practical language application in every lesson. I only use trusted names as resources for my lessons, namely Cambridge, British Council, IELTS.org and IDP. My own materials are uniquely designed to stimulate learners visually, with grammatical and lexical concepts presented in a simple yet effective manner based on my years of experience teaching ESL.
