I graduated from the Flinders University of South Australia in 2000. I have taught in Australia, Singapore England and Malaysia. I am an author (writer), freelance editor and copywriter and a Higher learning tutor with more than 20 years of teaching experience. I have taught courses and classes in public speaking, international test preparations, creative writing and Business English.

I have an unorthodox and fun approach to teaching. My forte is communication and essay writing. I have the formula to writing 250 words in 15 minutes which is the standard requirement for seasoned writers and journalists. The techniques that I teach would help secondary and undergraduate students learn fast and score.

- For science tutoring, I will focus on important exam tasks and exercises that will commonly be asked while also maintaining a pace that the student can cope with

- For English tutoring, I will provide a guide for the student to improve their English via writing (improving their grammar and writing pattern), speaking (how and when to proceed with the necessary imput to obtain good scores in MUET), as well as some reading methods that can improve their english over time.

Am a lecturer in a government college with a PhD. I have 10 years of experience teaching English at the Pre-U and undergraduate levels. I have successfully prepared my students for some of the major English tests such as MUET, APTIS and IELTS. I am fluent in both Malay and Mandarin so will use those languages to help you to excel in English. I also teach English with an aim of developing an overall proficiency so that you can be confident of using the language.

The tutoring method is through online and have been doing it since the pandemic started even until today, there are still some students attend my lessons through online because it is more convenient for them. I have been a part-time tutor for more than 10 years. Apart from the experience of teaching part-time in different settings (privately and in an academic institution), I have also had the opportunity to volunteer teaching English in Siem Reap, Cambodia, for 2 months in 2014. I have taught students from the age of 5 years old to adults. English is my strongest subject, but I am also good at Bahasa Malaysia and Mathematics especially for primary schoolers and lower secondary schoolers.

I also scored A- for my Bahasa Melayu. For STPM's History, I scored GPA 4.00 for Semester 2 examination and succesfully scored GPA 3.00 for the whole semester. I tend to teach other with a friendly method instead of pushing them until they feel stressed.

I am very good in English and Mathematics. I got A+ on both subjects during SPM. I already took my MUET and got a band of 4.5 for it. I am a very easy going person too. I write poems or short stories when I have free time and solve math problems when I come across one.

Tutoring Approach

For me, English can be improved a lot by speaking and writing. So I would like an active communication between the parties. Mathematics however, can be improved by understanding the formula and a lot of practice.
