Hello there. I'm Jacky. I have been teaching English for 3 years. I had a home-based tuition before this. Taught many primary school kids and lower secondary school students as well as adults who wanted to improve their English speech. Taught Mathematics too. I prefer face-to-face teaching and not to rush them in their ability. For my qualifications, I aced my English exam in SPM and took MUET during STPM. Now, I'm taking TESL in Open University. One of my finest strength is my humor.

Tutoring Approach

My classes will only be on weekdays. Strictly no on weekends. Pick any 3 days that you would like between 12pm till 10pm. One class will only be 1 and a half hour long and priced at RM30. If you rather prefer more hours, then I'll think about it. My tutoring techniques are quite normal. It involved memorizing and intensive learning. Lots and lots of exercises regarding the lesson. All following the correct school syllabus. I can be surprising at times, introducing them with new activities such as games testing their skills and songs illustrating a theme or poem recently studied. A friendly, not stressed environment could do a lot to one. When examinations are nearing, I will put in more exercises rather than games but still no stressing out my pupils with too much of them.

She has never been able to score a passing grade since entering secondary school and does not have any interest in Mathematics. I was able to help her develop an interest in Mathematics and as of recently, she managed to score a B for Mathematics in her SPM. This is a vast improvement since she had always scored in the F range.

I take great care to ensure that a student enjoys a study session. I do not set unrealistic goals but increasing goals as they progress. Little achievements can motivate a person to want to do better at a certain task.
