• Critical thinking. Since most of the school had applied High-Order Thinking Skills in studies, it is important for me to expose to them some questions that might consider as HOTS questions. I would encourage students to analyse subject deeper. I would also ask some questions when the did wrong, why they did like this and so on.

I always believed that tutoring is not the same as teaching, and hence depending on the students' proficiency on the subjects, I would normally emphasize on problems solving skills since the main aim would be to improve the results. Emphasis would be on past year trial and real SPM examination questions. Normally, 2 hours per week is sufficient for a subject. The first 45 minutes would be mainly on explanation and tutoring of a concept, while the rest of the time would be on problems solving. For physics, I would use slides or videos as supplementary materials to improve the students' understanding on certain concepts. Whenever required, I would provided some real life examples especially in those more abstract concepts. For mathematics related subjects, I would guide the students step by step on the methods to solve particular type of problems before requesting them to solve problems on their own.
