After years of teaching, I realized that the students having problems with the subjects are most probably due to insufficient understanding in the fundamental level and it is often that too late to be discovered. In my teaching, I will spend more time on recap of basic knowledge or application that is required instead of doing current materials repetitively. I will focus more on assisting the student to have more understanding towards his subject.

I would want my students to have a "stress-less" session because I always believe that creative solutions come from calm minds. So, I always go for fun, proactive approach but stern at times because they do need to feel the pressure of upcoming exams. I encourage students to ask questions the minute they do not understand to avoid further confusion. For exercises, students are encouraged to do them on their own as well as thorough research to build curiosity and self-interest and open discussion also helps building confidence.
