I like to meet students where they are. I do not believe that memorization is the best path to take when it comes to studying; rather, actually understanding and getting used to the material is the key to improvement. As a recent graduate from medical school, I have realized that I thrive from this more holistic approach, and would like to help students do the same.

I am also a former IGCSE student, as well as a seasoned IELTS taker (with an overall score of 8.5), and so it would be my pleasure to share all of the tips and knowledge I have if you are currently taking these exams.

Tutoring Approach

I will go through your syllabus and past exam papers to have a good idea of what is expected so that we can come up with a game plan to tackle your next exams together.

Sessions will consist of going through any difficulties you are having in particular, introducing new concepts, practicing using quizzes, and using songs/books/films of your choosing as an aid.

I have been an English tutor for an IELTS Chinese student and an art teacher for MiArt and Global Art. I enjoy viewing teaching and learning as a game for everyone to enjoy and immerse themselves in the process of growth and improvement. I use interesting facts, generational jokes, such as memes, and funny stories to excite the students. In art, I encourage their creativity by letting them imagine freely and teaching them based on what they have in mind rather than what the example dictates.

Tutoring Approach

Usually, I like to talk about stories and jokes with the students to create a bond with them. I try to remove the traditional teacher-student relationship and replace it with friendship. This is because I can get to know them better and try to find a tailored solution for everyone so we can all enjoy learning.
