I graduated with a distinction in the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and have studied advanced keyboard pedagogy techniques. I have a 100% ABRSM passing rate and I adopt a horizontal relationship with all my students. I first propose a learning plan that matches the parents’ expectations (what they want to achieve) to the students’ abilities (what they can realistically achieve). This plan is done together with the parents so they understand and can track their child’s growth. I adopt a holistic teaching method by introducing technique, sight-reading, aural training, scales, music theory etc. through the pieces they play. I can also arrange pieces that my students like according to their abilities so that they enjoy learning music.

I was also offered full scholarship and Graduate teaching position at the University of Denver for Masters in Piano Performance but decided to come back to Malaysia.
