Character developement is first and foremost my priority. As an IBDP teacher, I hope that my students grow in the IB learner profile attributes: knowledgeable, caring, open minded, risk taker, thinker, communicator, reflective, inquirer, principled, balanced. 

I acknowledge that academic excellence is important. However, my priority is to ensure that my students learn how to learn and develop the traits to go beyond the classroom. I have a record of pushing students to enjoy learning independently as they are intrinsically motivated to find out more about the world we live in. A positive learning attitude and a growth mindset in both students and parents is important to me. I encourage hands on learning and applications of learning to real life situations. For example, I have used games and craft work to teach area of the brain (hands on learning). My students then collaborated voluntarily to teach younger students with special needs at a centre (application to real life situations).

I'm a graduate from Universiti Sains Malaysia with a degree in Architecture with a 6 months study abroad experience in Czech Republic. I have managed to secure two scholarships for my degree and my A-level studies. I have always been appointed the person in charge in peer tutoring since high school up till my college life. I am academically fit to teach Maths and Science besides providing art lessons as I've studied Art & Design in A-level studies and have been awarded one of the highest grade.

Tutoring Approach

I prefer a friendly approach when it comes to teaching as I am used to teaching my friends and it is proven effective as I usually manage to get good grades together with my friends. Typically, I would explain the basics of the topics before going deeper into it as I strongly believe in good comprehension over memorising materials. I would also try to not put too much pressure on students as it will hinder them from liking the topics/subjects.

My teaching approach divided into 3 methods:- 1. 12 topics for over 12 months . Each topic 3-4 weeks 2. Vocabulary and Grammar 3. Project Presentation Students will be given some material and handouts prior to each lessons and are required to prepare before attendance class. Growing up in a family which my parents are teacher, my language foundation is firm. I am always the winner of essay writing or other language related competition during my school times. I am currently a trilingual teacher in a language enrichment centre. I have been teaching 1-to-1 b online class since July 2020.
