I am currently working as a systems analyst (SA) at a university. As a SA (also known as business technology analyst), I use analysis and design techniques to solve business problems using information technology (IT). Therefore, I could be considered as an IT professional who specializes in analyzing, designing and implementing information systems.

I also work as private tutor with experience of more than 22 years for modern mathematics and additional mathematics in SPM level and UEC level since year 1998 with great passion and unique teaching pedagogy. I was formerly a lecturer at a university with 17-year teaching experience for foundation and undergraduate students with mathematics and engineering related subjects. 

Tutoring Approach

I considerably good in spoken and written for Mandarin, Malay and English. I shall able to provide a good communication and understanding with students. I am able to adapt the teaching syllabus to the student’s understandable medium in order to let them learn faster. Besides, I will teach in the way that my students are able to digest it easily. Most of my tutorial class students scored quite an encouraging result during their final examination.

My teaching style would be started with few topics and then followed by questions (more exercises) that start with the easier ones to the harder ones because I believe in that way, students will understand better rather than just learn.

First of all, I will teach them few lessons then straight away go to exercise. Then, I will explain how the working/solution to get to the correct answer.

I have been tutoring for almost 3 years by refer to Malaysian Syllabus curriculum which is KSSM (Secondary lower) and KBSM (secondary upper). Most of the subject I taught were Mathematics and Additional Mathematics. I also have been experienced with IGCSE mathematics syllabus because I once explore more on IGSCE and IB syllabus while taking Diploma in Education at University Malaya. So I think that there will be no problem for me to teach any kind of mathematics syllabus.

Tutoring Approach

I teach students using deductive approach where teachers will provide students a lot of examples and students will acknowledge from the examples and exercises given. Sometimes, I will use investigation approach where students will find out the solution to that problems themselves if and only if I can evaluate understanding of students by the mean time.
