I have completed my Bachelor's degree from Taylor's University. Despite having no official teaching experience, I did mentor for the module "Organic Chemistry" during my Bachelor's degree for a year. This was part of the peer-assisted learning programme for other students who need more assistance in understanding the subject outside normal classroom hours.

Tutoring Approach

Personally, I am a visual learner so I truly empathise with you or your child who needs more detailed explanations especially with the help of pictures and colours. I believe each student has their own unique way of strategic learning as well as their own definition of productivity. Hence for my approach, I will choose to go casual and friendly so that this "tuition" does not feel burdensome. I also use online materials like videos to spice up the learning process, which I believe helps TREMENDOUSLY compared to traditional printed books. I also prefer to discuss the learning outcomes periodically with the student/parents (pre- or post- tutoring) so that both our expectations are set and none of the parties get left out in the journey. With that said, I trust that practice makes perfect. Because success is 1% talent/luck, 99% dedication.
