Learning with Timothy Denis: Tutoring Sessions

Having a background in medical research, I have learned to apply a methodological approach to teaching. My career in education has provided me with the experience in preparing students for include IGCSE, AS and A-Level (CIE and EDEXCEL), SAT, IB (Diploma, MYP and PYP), STPM, SPM and PT3 Level. Throughout the years, I have honed skills such as problem solving and critical thinking. Some of my best attributes are a key attention for details, perseverance and the ability to connect with people on their level.

My approach to teaching varies according to the needs of the student(s). When teaching technical subjects like biology or physics, I apply an approach that encourages critical thinking and real world examples that enhances interest in these subjects and promotes understanding of concepts and principles. When teaching languages or exam preparation, my method of teaching involves engaging the student(s) in discussion using examples where ideas are compared before allowing the student(s) to come up with suitable answers.
