General Information

I have 20 years of teaching experience. I specialise in teaching Chinese-Mandarin, Chinese-Cantonese, English and Malay. I also offer Italian, Spanish and French class. 

English

(A) Business English I am currently teaching Business English to China Communication Construction Company (the company who built Penang Second Bridge and constructing high-speed railway in Malaysia), Defacto International Fashion Brand, and several directors and top managers working in tourism and hospitality line. (B) Exam Preparation I have 4 years experience in teaching Cambridge English syllabus, and therefore I am very familiar with the categorisation of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Moreover, I can also help to prepare International exam such as IELTS. 

Mandarin

(A) Business Mandarin Preparing managers, students in communicating in business and office environment which main language is Chinese/Mandarin. (B) Academic Mandarin Professionally trained to deliver lectures to prepare students for HSK or any International Examination related to Mandarin-Chinese.

(C) Chinese Culture

Able to teach appreciation of Chinese classical literature and texts. Fitness Possesses American Council on Exercise Certificate for Personal Training and was the personal trainer and Fitness Manager for more than 3 years. Qualified lifeguard certified by Malaysian Lifesaving Society (Bronze Medallion) and International Lifesaving Society (Belgium) and therefore can teach swimming.

(D) IGCSE

Summary 1. Language Placement Tet 2. Understand the specific needs of students 3. Design relevant and effective syllabus 4. Deliver lecture and observe the development of learners 5. Make changes when possible according to feedback 6. Make sure that the lecture is delivered in enjoyable and effective manner. For language teaching, it is important to take care of the usage of language (grammar, vocabulary), cultural and social aspects and the pedagodical methods when transfering the knowledge to the students. General and specific usage intended to be used by the students when commanding the language will be taken into consideration. To strengthen the memory and impact of learning, appropriate stimulation method has to be used including activities, graphic etc.  Many people take language learning too easy and think that it can be managed in short time. Unless you are a genius, it's very rare for a person to be proficient in a language with just 10 - 20 hours of learning. Experience and research shown that to complete a typical CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) level will need at least 80 to 200 hours. There is no short cut in learning a language and students have to be patient and know what you want for sure. Or else, it will be a waste of time and money.
