I have 6+ years of teaching experience in private institution of higher learning where I taught mostly engineering-related subjects to wide variety of local and international students. Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach is that I always start from the students' point-of-view first, try to understand how they see the topic from their perspective and to understand how they view the subject matter itself. From there I will guide them step-by-step towards the proper understanding, making connections to something that they can relate and/or understand along the way, to the extent that they can feel that they are really the ones who are doing the actual learning. Engaging active participation from the student is the key to make the teaching and learning interesting and successful.

Experience in tutoring during my degree at the University of Arizona, USA. Attended a few trainings for tutoring provided by my university. I am able to adapt to the student's style of learning. Focus on the weak spot of the student, and prepare the students so that they can continue their learning even after the tutoring session.

Tutoring Approach

Start with a few questions to understand how the student prefers to learn. Then ask for the goals of the tutor session and work out from that goals. My tutoring techniques depend on the student's preferable but my main technique is by showing the example and asking the students to use the same method to solve other problems.

By exercising this method, it stimulates interest among students because they can relate what they have studied to the real world and enhance the degree of understanding in particular subject matter. I have taught various groups of students at degree level with concentration in electrical/electroncis engineering subjects, mechanical engineering subjects, Mathematics and statistics subjects.
