I have worked as a librarian in India for 4 years where I have taught kids of age 4-12 yrs. I have great fluency in English. Adding to this, I taught spoken English for kids age 5 - 15 years as a part-time during my college days during 2008-10.

Updated (Feb 26, 2020): I am an alumni from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), majoring in politics and government studies. I have experience in a learning centre for 1 year 6 months, teaching pre-school children mainly on phonics and English. I have also tutored foreigners on Bahasa Malaysia. In teaching/tutoring, I will conduct assessment on client first because I believe in catering according to their ability, need and wish. Besides languages, I can teach subjects that involve humanity fields such as Sejarah.

Tutoring Approach

I usually play games while attempting to teach pre-school children phonics by flashing cards and encouraging their participation. As for subjects such as Sejarah, historical videos can be used to capture their interest and encourage the students to learn more. Every child is different in their own ways, therefore empathy is needed in determining the most suitable tutoring approach for that particular child. As for adults, I will address their learning gap and deliver the lesson according to what they wish to learn.
