I am an experienced tutor with Grad Cert in Higher Education qualification (from Monash University). I have been teaching in university for 8 years. I am also an experienced private tutor in teaching GCE IGCSE A-LEVEL, MUFY and SPM Biology. I can also teaching Form 1 to Form 6 Biology (including syllabus from Chinese Independent  High School stream). Tutoring Approach

My teaching philosophy has always been linking the study topics to everyday situations. When I am conducting a lecture, I would also constantly link my lectures to popular culture (e.g books and movies) so it would stimulate interest of the students rather than depending the brain to memorise the full details. I also find my experience in cross-curricular teaching (MBBS, Pharmacy, Biomedical Science) very helpful as I am able to discuss the topics in depth and also expand the topics appropriately.

Experience

appointed as exam officer and trained by CAIE for marking ICGSE Chemistry (0620) paper. I have been tutoring for last 4 years with excellent proficiency in teaching IG and A level Biology as well as IG Chemistry.

I have been a Tutor for Health subjects in one of private university since 2016 teaching diploma, bachelor & master students. I have a valid teaching permit in health and science subjects from KPT. My background is more on pharmacology based on my PhD thesis and health toxicology. I had experienced in supervising and conducting Research in medical & health sciences too.

Experience

I have a total of 7 years of experience in Science (primarily Physiology and Biology) tutoring to high school and university students (both science and medical students). I've obtained my PhD degree in Medicine since 2013 from the University of Adelaide, Australia.

Tutoring Approach

Generally, I used the first half of the first session to get to know the student's standard and learning patterns. I practice the VARK learning system to suit each student's need. I prefer to use analogies and flow diagrams to encourage a better understanding of a subject.
