GERMAN: "I help A Level students pass their German language exams to prepare for study in Germany."

Since 2018 I have prepared more than 100 A Level students for their Cambridge AS Level German exam (Papers 1, 2, 3), of which two received Top in Malaysia award for the November 2020 examination series. I have also tutored beginners starting from zero to learn German for the Goethe A1, A2, and B1 exams. With a C1 in the Goethe-Zertifikat proficiency exam and having scored 5.5.4.5 in the TestDaF exam myself, I can share with you from my personal experience important exam techniques to deal with  Goethe and TestDaF tasks and questions.

Since 2012 I have taught English to secondary school and college students as well as adults.

CANTONESE: "I help non-Cantonese speakers practice conversation to connect better with their friends, colleagues, and clients in the local community, and I also help semi-speakers revive their language skills to reconnect with their family heritage."

Driven by a burning passion to keep my heritage language alive, I am glad to help others learn conversational Cantonese through speaking practice.

Tutoring Approach

Online, with notes, written exercises, listening and speaking live. Let me know your target, we work together to achieve it. We start with the sound system of the language, then go to basic grammar, sentence structure and word understanding step by step. I use a communicative, interactive approach based on your needs. When we talk about things important to you, you practice, absorb, and activate what we cover in the lesson, whether it's a grammar topic or functional language. For German we can do exam preparation techniques or focus on specific skills building (speaking, listening, writing, reading) depending on what you want. For spoken English and Cantonese the learning focus will be on dialogues and conversation topics.
