Each student will be taught differently based on their level of understanding, concentration and perseverance as there is no one magic bullet to solve all kind of different problems. I do not provide short notes but I teach students how to use the textbook to the fullest as this is a very important skills needed for one's further education and development at the university. Also as an example, I found that in Cambridge A-level (CIE) Physics and Chemistry examination questions and mark scheme, they were very much based on or within the scope of the main textbook.

There are two different approaches that I usually take and this depends on the needs of the students. For the students who are more able and advance, I would focus on topics that they are struggling with. For the others, I would start from the beginning of the syllabus and the time spent on a topic depends on how quickly they could grasp the concepts. I would prepare the lessons before the sessions and would carry out almost classroom style where I would explain with the implementation of active learning (students' involvement). I like to include jokes and keep the lesson fun and engaging by playing games and activities that would enhance the learning process. I also let the students sit for tests after a few topics to see where they need improvements and further assistance.
