I also will converse in any language (English, Bahasa Melayu, Hokkien) that is prefered by the student to teach them effectively.  As for the Diploma/Foundation/A-level students, I will often share valuable insights and best known methods from the industry to better equip students at the university level to better prepare themselves for the working world.

There are two different approaches that I usually take and this depends on the needs of the students. For the students who are more able and advance, I would focus on topics that they are struggling with. For the others, I would start from the beginning of the syllabus and the time spent on a topic depends on how quickly they could grasp the concepts. I would prepare the lessons before the sessions and would carry out almost classroom style where I would explain with the implementation of active learning (students' involvement). I like to include jokes and keep the lesson fun and engaging by playing games and activities that would enhance the learning process. I also let the students sit for tests after a few topics to see where they need improvements and further assistance.

• Will conduct some simple experiments (e.g. free fall) /share videos (e.g. Light interference phenomenon footage) to allow students easier to grasp the knowledge.

I am a straight A+ SPM scholar and scored 3A* in A-levels, so I have had first hand experience on studying these subjects and can share some specific tips on how to score well in these examinations. I teach at a good pace and make sure that my students grasp important concepts well before I move on to the next topic.

For a 2 hour private lesson, I will spend the first 20 mins going through homework or questions that my students have about a specific topic.
