However in both cases, I place a very heavy emphasis on students understanding the core foundational concepts instead of blindly memorizing the facts and applying them. Students seems to have a very rigid way of studying the science subjects and my main focus is to disengage them from this tendency and instead teach them to learn to constantly ask questions, think critically and scientifically. With my teaching, students will be able to apply the concepts they have learned to different contexts and answer questions that require extra reasoning and problem solving skills.
